How to see your design the way a guest would
The editor’s simulator shows you which elements a guest gets based on their language and hashtags.
Where to find it
Invitation editor → above the design, “View as a guest in”
Before you start
- A design with elements that have conditions in “Show only if…”.
Steps
- 1
Open your invitation’s editor. The simulator is above the design.
- 2
Choose a language in “View as a guest in”.
- 3
Type their hashtags in “Guest hashtags”, separated by spaces. When you leave the field, Keemo adds the
#. If you leave it empty, you see what someone without those hashtags would see. - 4
Check the design. Only the elements that apply to that guest remain.
- 5
Go back to “No simulation” when you’re done, to see every element again.
Result
The design looks the way it does in that guest’s invitation, and below the simulator you read who you’re viewing: “You’re viewing your design as a guest in…”.
Notes
Your layers don’t disappear. The ones that guest wouldn’t see stay in your list, with a dotted border and the label “Hidden in simulation”. You can still open, edit or duplicate them.
It’s not the same as turning a layer off with the eye. The eye hides the element for all your guests. The simulation only changes what you see, here.
The simulation isn’t saved and doesn’t change anything in the invitations. It turns off by itself when you leave the editor.
The simulator has every Keemo language, even ones you haven’t turned on for your event yet. That way you can get your design ready before switching them on.
Common issues
They have conditions that guest doesn’t meet. Find them in your layer list: they say “Hidden in simulation”.
First choose a language in “View as a guest in”. With “No simulation”, the field is off.
It must be written the same as in the condition, with its capitals and accents.
