How to check in your guests with the scanner
On the day, scan tickets at the door and know in real time who has arrived. Goodbye printed list and pen that won’t write.
Where to find it
The event’s “Scanner” tab
Before you start
- The “Scanner” tab turned on.
- A phone with a camera and an account with access to the event.
Steps
- 1
Open the “Scanner” tab. You’ll see “Seat finder”.
- 2
Tap “Scan code” and allow the camera.
- 3
Point at the ticket’s code. If they don’t have a ticket, type their name in “Search guest” and tap “See information”.
- 4
Check the card: their table and how many seats they have confirmed.
- 5
Under “Seats used”, tap how many people arrived.
- 6
Tap “Close guest” to move on to the next one.
Result
The attendance counter goes up and that guest’s “Seats used” update in your list.
Notes
Several people can scan at the same time, each from their own phone and with their own account. If you have someone at the reception, give them access to your event with the “Planner assistant” role.
Try it before the big day with your own ticket. Better to find out on Tuesday that the browser didn’t have camera permission than on Saturday with 200 people in line.
Common issues
The guest hasn’t RSVP’d. Record their confirmed seats in the guest list and search for them again.
That ticket isn’t for this event. Search for the guest by name.
Check that the browser has permission to use the camera. If you have several, switch in the selector.
